Cannot access NETGEAR WG602 Control Panel
Hey All,
I cannot access my NETGEAR WG602 (wireless router)'s control panel. It is connected to the modem though a wired-router (Dynex DX-E402), and when I type in the IP address for the WG602 it accesses the DX-E402's control panel.
Can someone tell me how to get around this?

- jmizoguchiVirtuosoYou can NOT use same IP. Each device has to have different IP (No Duplicates)
Once that fixed you should be able to access - WaldoctgNoviceI actually did find it. The access point worked for a bit, but then when I moved it upstairs where I need it, it stopped working. I won't be able to work on it until this weekend, but once I start again, I'll keep you updated.
- WaldoctgNoviceThis doesn't work... when I set the Dynex router to DHCP mode off, then it stops its connection and no signal goes through the ethernet line. I power cycled both routers and did everything they stated (except for the wireless parts of course).
I am connected directly to the Dynex router through ethernet. Once I get this connection going through ethernet, then I was going to plug in the access point and configure that.
Any tips? - WaldoctgNoviceI did this part " Click the ADVANCED tab and select Setup > LAN.
In the IP Address field, change the LAN IP address of the router to 192.168.1.100 (same IP segment of the main router, 192.168.1.1) and clear the Use Router as DHCP server check box."
After that, the main router's IP address changed and it stopped working all together. I power cycled it, but to no avail...
Any ideas? - WaldoctgNoviceHere's a good resource:
Technical Summary
What do you think about that set up for the main Netgear wireless router and the wired Dynex wired router? Then plug the Netgear access point in to the Dynex wired router...? - WaldoctgNoviceUPDATE: so I used the late layout for the router and then connected the access point to that and it works!
However, I have noticed the range of the main router isn't as far... is that because the access router is now attached?
I also changed the channel on the router ... maybe this would effect the length of the range of it?
