Can't access mywifiext.com after setup

I have tried several times now. I can factory reset the router, access mywifiext.com no problem.  It takes me through the setup fine.  However, once everything is setup I can't get back to mywifiext.com.  I'd like to get back in to change the admin login info and update the firmware.  The extender is not performing how I'd like it to, slow speeds, and drops connections, which is why I would like to check for firmware updates.  All of the troubleshooting I've found are about getting to the site for setup, that part works fine for me...

When I'm on <mynetowrk>_EXT, so connected to the extender, I get the page that says it can't access and I need to be on the extender's network.  I did manage to randomly once get the login page to appear, once I logged in, I received a 404 page not found.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks-

Mike

  • I'm having the same problem down to the last detail. I thought it was my repeater, but sounds like it might be a bigger issue if we're having the same experience.

Have you guys tried to access the extender using its IP address you typically can find it in the attached devices of the router.

I have tried with the default IP as well from the same article that dbanjo referenced.  I will check this evening if the IP is different based on what is connected to my router.

Also, I have turned off firewall/antivirus, factory reset router and extender multiple times.

No luck for me either. In doing this, I did discover that my modem/router that the extender connects through is now using IPv6. Would this have anything to do with it?  I tried putting in the IPv6 address and still nothing.  The internet works through the extender, I would like to get into the configuration of the extender and can't succesfully do that after going through the setup.
