EX2700 seems to have caused issues with my wifi

I have a Sky Q hub but have always had one room in the house that is a bit of a wifi black spot.  As we are in lockdown and it is my sons bedroom that is affected, I bought a EX27200 extender, plugged in, set up and all seemed ok.  After a couple of hours all wifi connectivity was lost upstairs, both with and without the extender.  We now have intemittent wifi, literally only lasting up to a minute at a time if we can get it at all upstairs.  I have tried rebooting the router and factory resetting the extender.  I also tried updating the firmware but couldn't establish what the latest version available acutally is.

My router uses 2.4ghz and 5ghz, have I bought the wrong extender?

Can anyone help please?  Thanks

  • Only once lockdown is lifted apparently! Thanks for trying to help 🙂

so the wifi doesn't work even if the extender is unplugged?

  • Not any more :( Intermittently at best, and even then it’s very very slow

If the extender is unplugged and you're still having issues, the extender isn't the issue. The router is.

Mabye try factory resetting the router and re-install it.

      What router is it?

I think it must be. I’ve tried reboot and factory reset and it’s no better. It’s a Sky Q Hub - model ER115.
