EX6200 FW:V1.0.3.68_1.1.104 AES encryption setting bug

I’m using the EX6200 as AP with the latest firmware and I’m experiencing a strange issue: Both my Macs (One IMac 09 and one MacMini12 both with OS X 10.11.1) report “a” protocol link with 5Ghz and “g” link with 2.4Ghz. In both band speed is extremely slow.

I suspect that even if AES encryption is setted in the extender gui, TKIP is used. An easy proof of this is my main router reporting TKIP encryption on both EX6200 WLANs.

The only way to set AES is to choose both TKIP and AES but in my opinion TKIP is better when is set off. 

I hope someone could forward this to developes in order to fix.

    No g/a devices. If i set tkip+aes the both macs shift to n thanks to aes encryption. 20/40 was enabled then i tried to see if behave better without.

    The 5ghz rssi now is 61db with 50% power transmit. The strange thing is that in the gui i cannot select channels over 46, I cannot figure out how channel 60 was selected. Btw rssi now is good also because while taking the screen the old 5ghz wlan was active and in the same channel.

    Do you have any old devices that can only do 802.11g?

     

    It's very strange to see a Mac using 802.11g. Can you try enabling 20/40 MHz coexistence on the extender? I have a feeling that it could be causing the extender to not behave well.

     

    The RSSI at 5 GHz is terrible. It's barely above the noise level. Are Wi-Fi channels 100 and higher available in your region? The lower channels generally have low transmit power. At the very least, try to change to a different channel. Channel 60 could be congested.
