EX6200 Wireless Extender won't connect to Asus RT-AC68U

Question

I am having trouble extending my Asus&nbsp;RT-AC68U router. &nbsp; My security is WPA2 Personal AES &nbsp; on the router. &nbsp;The &nbsp;Netgear sees the network easily enough but fails to connect either at 2G or 5G. The message is only that it "failed to connect". &nbsp; The range is close. &nbsp; I am at a loss as to what I might do. &nbsp;The setup said something about entering the 6200's mac addresses, but I don't see where I might add those or if it is even needed...&nbsp;&nbsp;I do get this message on the ASUS &nbsp;The WAN IP is not the external IP. External IP-based services will not work.&nbsp;But I'm not trying to create a WAN, so I'm not sure if that is relevant.&nbsp;&nbsp;Any help greatly appreciated

There might be a location in your routers settings where you enter the mac address of extender which will put it on a allow list.
