ex7000 sets up but won't recognize password

i upgraded my modem/wifi box and tried multiple times to reinstall, reset the extender , the install seems to work but when i try the 2g or the 5g band it won't accept the password, i left the password as the network one and tried setting it to a different one in the setup but still won't recognize the password. it shows up on every device i try but will not let me in. any help would be greatly appreciated
