EX8000 (AP) 5GHz Channels 116 and above do not work anymore
Hi there,
Lately I have a nasty issue with my EX8000 running as Access Point for two separate 5GHz SSID’s ... Usually the band with the 1700mbits sits on channel 100 - 112 which was working just fine. Lately I get forced channel switches because of DFS (this was definitely also the case before, but I just never noticed). The problem ist, if it changes to 116 and above, the Band seems dead. Not a single device can “see” this network anymore (all of them have 160MHz Support). If I use my backup fritz box and set the channel to >116 it’s working great... so for some reason the ex8000 antennas seem to stop working for 116 and above ...
I have done a factory reset already and I am using the most current firmware.

What region are you in?
what region is the extender set it?
What region are your devices in?
Reason I ask is different regions have different restrictions on DFS channels. If the region is set different from 1 device to the next, it can create issues or "unusable channels". Or even channels that are very low power for that region.

its European Region and therefore channels up to 140 should be fine. As i wrote in my initial post, i tried with a different 5GHz Access Point and there i had no issues at all for the same Channels that refuse to work with the EX8000

I understand that you've stated that region. do you have that region setup on the EX8000? AND on your devices accessing it?
