EX8000 extender installation with a Nighthawk X6S router

Hi all,

When installating my extender I get some information, see text in blue below.

I get two questions about this:

1. The channel from the extender seams to be Ch 104, but I can't change the channel the from the router enough the 5GHz one radio can only be changed up to 64 (DFS) (range 34-64(DFS) and the 5GHz two radio range is 100 (DFS) - 128 (DFS).

2. Is not my 5GHz WiFi radio enabled?

I try to follow the instructions to get better WiFi performance, it did not get as well as I hoped (I got latest firmware on both extender and router). Hope someone of you can help me with this!

Your R8000 router is a triband router - do you have both 5G radios enabled on it?

      Hi, thank's for answering!

Yes both 5GHz radios are active, the second one is like a slave; I used Smart connect to get same SSID and password for them.

I added two pictures from the installation interface, but it seams like they only became "icons".

I'll try to add them again.

      BR Johnny

What WiFi download speeds are you seeing through the extender and the router?  It might be easier to measure this if you temporarily change the extender network name so that it doesn't match your router.
