Firmware update stalls for EX3700

I got an email from Netgear that I need to upgrade to the latest firmware: v1.0.0.76 for my EX3700 extender.  I followed the steps at  https://kb.netgear.com/000057115/How-do-I-upgrade-firmware-on-my-NETGEAR-WiFi-Range-Extender, and got as far as a message that tells me to wait a minute while it updates the language tables, but that message kept refreshing my browser for 5 minutes and that's it.  Does anyone know what to do when that happens?  Is their upgrade system not working?

  • Try from a PC thats wired thru the main host router to the EX.

Last resort would be to factory reset, setup and use a wired PC again.

Does this happen when using IE11 or FireFox browsers?

Try a factory reset on the EX and setup from scratch to be sure it works. Then try a download of FW with a wired PC connected to the main host router to send the FW file over to the EX.

      Thanks for the idea!

I tried it in Firefox and got the same screen (attached).  I really, really, really don't want to do a reset except as a last resort.  Can anyone suggest any other steps to fix it?
