I called the Netgear chat line because my WN3000RP has one geen light only.

My WN3000 wifi ext stopped working. It has only the ON light lit. I called the chat line and theysaid a tier 2 technician will call me in a couple minutes. He got into my computer and said he could NOT fix the problem and told me I had to Purchase a firewall from Netgear to get the wifi extender to work. I refused...What is going on and who are these guys.

  • Never PAY for tech support.... there are a bunch of outside companies making believe they are Netgear...Only use the number in the contact support bubble; https://www.arlo.com/en-us/support/contact.aspx

     

    Do not do a search and then pick a number for help...tech support on the Basic ( free ) level is for 3 months at least.

     

     

    As to getting help. BTW,  you are in the Arlo section , not wifi /router section of forum (home wifi )

      I was in the WIFI section of the COMMUNITY forum and this is where I was placed. I was in the NETGEAR CHAT  when I was instructed to receive a phone call.......answer a question...is ARLO part of NETGEAR?

        Of course it is... Just that SOMETIMES messgs from other sections get cross posted to the wrong area and not sure if you were replying to a previous entry
