LAN passthough on Netgear PR2000 (Trek N300)
How do I enable my Netgear device to allow my existing LAN to be passed through to all connected devices - that is the Netgear to be transparent to all connected devices?
I have Netgear Trek N300 PR2000.
My existing LAN has a default gateway of 192.168.1.254 and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0
I can connect my Netgear (in extender mode) to my main router (which has DHCP enabled) and connect various devices to the Netgear just fine. In fact the speed is good.
However all devices connected to the Netgear do not 'see' my LAN. I need to get to my shares for example.
When I disable DHCP on the Netgear it all falls over. No device can connect. I'm of course hoping that a connected device will obtain an IP from my main router.
Clearly I'm doing something wrong.
Would highly appreciate someone letting me know what settings I need to disable or enable in the Netgear Trek please? Or perhaps I need to change the default IP addresses within the Netgear?
I'm assuming what I want to achieve is possible. If not would appreciate knowing what device I need to get to achieve this.
Cheers

Hello Edwarduk
In the PR2000 have you gone to the WAN settings and unchecked the DHCP box?

Hi DarrenM
Thanks for responding to my post. Much appreciated.
Yep, as mentioned, when I disable DHCP on the PR2000 it 'falls over'. Specifically I get zero connection.
I don't know what my next steps are now - other than simply to bin the PR2000.
cheers

Do you have the latest firmware 1.0.0.15?
