My router issues the message sending OFFER to IP-address
Every second my router issues the message "08/21/2015 13:43:22 sending OFFER to 192.168.2.2". That IP-address used to belong to my Netgear WN3000RP repeater, which I do not use anymore. Can someone please help me how can I stop these messages from my router (Experia box V8)?
Thanks a lot!
The setup for the WN3000RP is through a web browser or WPS, and does not require any software to be installed on the PC.
There is however NETGEAR Genie, which is optional software that can monitor settings for NETGEAR products.

Please try resetting the Experia box V8 to factory defaults.
You can also try visiting the KPN forums for help on the Experia box- NG_2015Aspirant
Dear nhann,
Thank you for your help. I just reset the Experia Box V8 to the factory defaults -- twice to be precise, from the dashboard and by using a paperclip at the back of the Experia -- but unfortunately it did not have any result.
I also posted this question on the KPN forum, but people only say well that is a strange problem, but to my regret no one has a solution.
It is really peculiar, the IP-address the Experia Box V8 is sending this message to, belonged to a Netgear repeater, which is not in use anymore and this IP-address is now taken by something else.

Someone from the KPN Helpdesk (the supplier of the Experia Box V8) told me he believes the message is the result from some software on my desktop PC. That sounds logical.
I checked the register and my drives for the words "netgear", "wn3000", and the IP-address but found nothing. I regularly use ccleaner.
Can someone please inform me what kind of settings are set in Windows 7 when a Netgear WN3000RP is installed?

Dear nhann,
Thanks for your clear reply. The question is 'solved': KPN will supply a newer model Experia Box.
All the best,
Paul
