N300, no internet connection
After installation all of the lights work and it shows everything is connected. My current router works fine and internet connection is established. When I turn on the extender, all lights still show a connection and even searching wifi networks show that the extender has excellent signal. When I connect a device to the extender there is no internet connection. Even after connecting back to my main router the internet connection fails until I turn off the extender. What could be causing this?

It could be the wireless channel try changing that in the wireless settings on your router also make sure your extender network has the _EXT in the SSID.

It does have the _EXT. I tried changing the channel on my router, resetting the extender, reconnecting everything. Nothing works. The internet is fine until I connect to the extender. When I connect to the extender I get an error that says "internet unavailable".

I would contact Netgear support if the extender is still under warranty they will be able to troubleshoot some more and figure out if its a issue with the hardware of the extender.
