Netgear N300 Range Extender does not create Network Name
Model N300 Wi Fi Range Extender Model EX2700
Hi, I have two range extenders and set them up using the WPS auto option.
This created two additional connections - Network_Ext_1 and Network_Ext_2.
Everything has been working perfectly with all our devices for about 3 months.
The other day they ceased to allow access and kept prompting for username and password.
Have reset the devices and tried to reinstall as per day one but something is not right.
The units locate the WIFI but do not create Network_Ext_1 etc - you see Netgear_Ext but this does not allow you to access.
It also occaionally prompts a message of IP address not recognised.
Have reset modem but units do not respond anymore - any suggestions? I have even none a factory reset.
Internet is fine without these units when in close range...
Cheers

Does www.mywifiext.net show that the extenders are connecting successfully to the router wifi?

Unsure what you mean with the link www.mywifiext.net, this just brings up various instructions which do not help alas.
The extenders find my WIFI through the WPS - green lights good to go etc but when you try and connect in fails - It also does not create the correct address - i.e internet_ext_1 - it defaults to Netgear_ext which is not correct. Worked for 3 months then not - strange.

When you connect to the extender wifi network then It should give you setup options. Can you post a screenshot?
Overall, your symptom (client wifi is NETGEAR_EXT) suggests that WPS setup is failing.
