Did you ever resolve this? I have the same issue... Extender works great. I lost the orginal access point and the ethernet connections in the original router don't work now. Frustrating.

Yes, I connect the 7300 extender via WiFi (20 feet away) to my 6200 Router. I can access the extender...5G_5GEXT wifi, but not the original 5G WIFI access point on the router. Also, the physical internet connections on the router stop working.
When I unplug the extender and restart the router, router works fine again.
Have you guys made sure the firmware is up to date on the router and the extender? Also have you tried to factory reset your router then set everything up again?
