Nighthawk X6s AC3000 will not connect to router
Hi, After a brief power outage the above extender has stopped connecting to router. I have tried rebooting both (in close proximity to one another), with the same result. One thing has changed I have a virgin media router, and prior to this the extender connected to the router using the router name followed by EXT. Now its trying to connect to Netgear EXT (which I have not seen before) , if I connect to this the message back is 'there is no internet', when clearly there is. There is only one led lit on the extender which is the 2.4GHz, nothing else, its probably me, but I cannot fathom it out, can anyone shed any light please?
Cheers
John
factory reset the extender and set it up using the installation assistant.
To factory reset, push and hold the reset button for 7-15 seconds while powered on.
Here's a video of how to use the assistant.

Power surges are great at corrupting settings.
I'd try a factory reset and reinstall of the device.
- Jbid9020AspirantThanks, tried this the same result.

when you factory reset and then connect to the netgear_ext and go through setup, what happens?
It doesn't work doesn't tell us much. Does it go through setup?
Are you unable to access it?
If you log into the router, does the extender show as an attached device?
Can you access it through its IP address the router assigns to it?
