Powerline 500 XWN5001 reset
Hi
I recently reinstalled my Powerline 500 XWN5001, I've made a reset and all the connections work good. My issue is that now I've a wifi line without password protection since the Netgear Powerlien Utility does not detect any devises and does not enable me to create a password to protect the wifi connection. I've a MacBook Pro running on macOS Mojave10.14.6
Is there another way to create a password for my Powerline 500 XWN5001 wifi network?

Are you able to connect to the wifi?
How about using the IP address of the AP (access point) to log into it and manage it?
The manual also shows using the genie to manage it. Have you tried this?

Genie is not detecting any appliance when I open it on my mac and the new version, only shows controls for routers and I only have the poweline repeaters from NetgearI don't have that specific model but if you have the IP address of the device, you can type that into your browser to access the setup/settings that route instead of the genie.
or when you're connected try mywifiext . net (remove spaces, it doesn'tt let me post them without the spaces)
