WN2500RP - Pot forwarding?

I've been using a WNDR3700 with a few cameras. I use port forwarding to get to each camera remotely.

I just added a WN2500RP extender.

Can I connect cameras to extender? and do I need to re-establish port forwarding?

I'm a bit confused conceptually.

Thanks

  • whatever the IP that camera needs to be reached is not different than before.

use the IP that you can view on LAN to the camera and forwarded

Thanks. So I would connect cameras to new SSID of the extender, and everything else stays the same I believe. The camera IP addresses are fixed and stay the same, the router still forwards the respective port to each cameras IP address now through the extender.

Think I got that right. Maybe I'm over thinking this.
  • As long as you can reach with whatever IP is the then you it's working.. and that IP is still need to forwarded
