WN2500RP Keeps Disconnecting
I have the WN2500RP (Firmware Version V1.0.0.30_1.0.58). This unit is constantly disconnecting from my Netgear R6100 router. For the record... the router's firmware is the latest.. V1.0.1.10. I had the same problem with another Netgear router but maybe not as bad. It seems like I am constantly having to power cycle, restart, reconnect extender with router on a constant basis. Is there any known issues with this extender? I've tried the troubleshooting step suggested on Netgear's site which included the last one I mentioned... reconnect with router and using a non DFI port... http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/25057 .
Any one else know of a workaround?

Hello Zipdrive
the only thing I could suggest is changing channels on the router and the extender to find the best connection or try moving the extender if possible to another place to test and see if it keeps dropping.

- robbchappaAspirantMy wn2500rp worked great for years then did this very same thing. So I bought a brand new one. It does the same exact thing. So I returned it and bought another. Same exact thing so I doubt its the extender. Common denominators is my original extender worked fine until I upgraded firmware all to 1.0.30. All three are running this version so it has a major problem and now I can't roll it back because the unit doesn't stay up long enough to flash older firmware. So I have 2 useless extenders and netgear hasn't done a damn thing to address this. Why would anyone buy any newer products when they won't support something they broke??? Anyone?

Hello robbchappa
Have you tried to connect via Ethernet to roll back the device? Also have you tried to factory reset the extender?
