  • If you are trying to log into the WN3000RP via Wi-Fi, then you must be joined to its Wi-Fi network in order for mywifiext.net to work.  If the extender is broadcasting the same SSID name as your main router, then a Wi-Fi client has a choice between joining via the extender or router.  If a client joins via the router, then mywifext.net won't work.

If you didn't wire the WN3000RP directly to the main router, then you can connect a computer to the extender's Ethernet port.  mywifiext.net should work.

      Hi. TheEther

Thanks for your reply. I must say I don't have a computer only one iPad and Smart tv. I'm a brain stroke survivor living in a institucion with out ace to the router I'm paralyzed with very little help. Please say things in plain English because I'm computer illiterate, please try your best. Thank You.

      • Ok, let's start with a simple question.

Is the name of the extender's Wi-Fi network the same or different than the router's?
