WNDAP360 losing connection
So I have a WNDAP360, running the latest 2.1.1 firmware.
It is setup to be as basic as possible.
I have disabled the QoS features, and set the channel.
I looked with inSSIDer and got my 2 most free channels.
The 5GHz channel is totally free.
I have set my laptop to use the 5GHz channel and get excellent connection.
The WNDAP360 is connected to my HP Gig switch, using an injector for PoE.
I have tested with and without the injector directly into my Cisco ASA which has PoE.
So now my issue is.
I have a constant signal, the signal itself never drops.
But I get disconnects from services, eg I play League of Legends.
Now if I play through Wifi I get pvp.net disconnects, and it automatically reconnects after a bit.
Constantly!
If I connect the same laptop to the switch directly, I get no disconnects at all. Ruling out the Laptop. My desktop on the switch is also fine.
This means the only thing is the AP itself.
The WMM feature is disabled on my laptop.
I cannot think of anything else to do or try.
I have reset the AP when I did the firmware upgrade.
Thanks

- SavellMAspirantAnyone have ANY ideas on to what I can try?
- X_ManAspirantI meet a similar problem
I have a WNDAP360, running the latest 2.1.1 firmware.
The WNDAP360 is connected to my NetGear GS108PeV2 switch.
I use the supplied power adapter for the AP.
Everything is ok but the AP is rebooting constantly (after 3 to 5 minutes) !
If I connect my laptop to the switch directly, I have no problem.
I also tried to check if the 2.1.1. firmware was completed but I did not find any place in the menu with firmware version.
I will appreciate if someone can give me a help.
Thanking you in advance

I have the exact same problem. It seems to be most prevalent with the 5.0ghz network but I occasionally have issues on 2.4 as well. I usually just see random packet loss. If I get a continuous ping going I lose a few packets out of every 20 or so.
I have it connected via PoE port off my ASA 5505. It has happened on both my laptops; HP 6930p and HP 8440p. They have Intel WiFi 5300 and Intel Centrino 6300 cards respectively with the latest drivers. Not sure what else i can try either. - jshelton_liAspirantWe are having this issue as well at various clients.
Brand new install is experiencing this issue. Just implemented a WMS5316 that is managing 5 WNDAP360s all with the latest firmware as of 4/12/2012. Users notices that his Pandora will stop playing. He disconnects from the WiFi and then reconnects and it starts working again. He is running an HP with a Broadcom 43224AG card.
Also having this issue at another client with 6 WNDAP360s managed by a WMS5316. They are noticing it with their MacBook Pro and iPhones.
Another client has 5 WNAP210s managed by a WMS5316 and is having the same issue with MacBooks, iPhones, and iPADs.
Originally I thought the issue was something with the Apple products but now I'm getting reports from PC users.
Please help as I have many clients that are heavily invested in Netgear Wireless. - renatotoiNoviceAre you using rogue AP detection ? Have you tried disabling it ?
- jshelton_liAspirantI turned off the rogue AP detection on the WMS5316 and the users are still reporting the issue.
- DMFVisualsNoviceI have the same problem with the same firmware:mad:

Thanks - DMFVisualsNoviceI have changed some setting and i can see that the AP is losing the connection to the gateway.
When i use a Ping -t to the gateway i got time outs after that i connecting again.
My Network Genie tells me the same thing.
But when i connect the 5ghz band from my WNDR900 i have no problems.
So the problem is still the AP.
Changed setting are "power save from WMM to disabled", Rogue AP is disabled and i turned on STP.
I have tested from two different laptop on 5GhZ and 2,4

DMFVisuals - jshelton_liAspirantI have found what appears to be a compatibility issue between Netgear's 802.11N and devices that utilize Broadcom chipsets. I have been testing in my lab and at client locations and those two similarities seem to pop up consistently across multiple Netgear APs with multiple firmwares. I made a change at a location that disables the 802.11N, changing to 802.11 b/g on the APs. I will try to post back my findings. I have also been in contact with Netgear Level 3 support and have informed them of my findings.
- inigomlAspirantSame problem here with WNDAP360 with firmware 2.1.1. Random reboots when many clients connected to AP. Most of them with broadcom integrated NICs. We are going to disable 11N at 2.4Ghz band.
