www.mywifiext.net not working
Trying to upgrade firmware per included documentation in WN2500RP using www.mywifiext.net in order to access NETGEAR Genie to select "Firmware Update". Not able to (read: not tech-savvy enough) to update manually.
Thoughts?

- JamesrbennettAspirantI am having the same problem- this web address not working.
Hope someone can assist - Make sure you are connected to extender network (wired or wireless) before you can access the GUI. If www.mywifiext.net is not working, then try http://192.168.1.250

go to support.netgear.com and download manually. - atomheartAspirantI think this may be the SUBNET problem that is now being discussed in a thread titled: Can't access Extender via www.mywifiext.net
- BorderlineAspirantI have WN3000 repeater.
So I managed to connect to a WiFi and it works great.
Now I am trying to prevent my whole neighborhood using my WN3000.
So I follow the instructions and more instructions but can not manage to open the administrator page.
Each time I enter one of the following:
http://www.routerlogin.net in or http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1
I get an error, and I see it is trying to log in to the router not in the Repeater!
The www.mywifiext.net brings me to the Netgear web page. - crepemamaAspirantAnother member said to use www.mywifiext.com (not .net) and it worked!
- KrispyKookieInitiateSince this post still seems relevant today, I'll add what I did to access mywifiext.net (Which basically makes it able you to configure the settings of your wireless extender).
When I was messing around in the Network and Sharing Center (Control Panel> Network and Internet> Network and Sharing Center) I clicked See full map, which in my case was for the wireless internet connection NETGEAR_EXT. Looking in there, I saw the entire network map. My computer was connected to the extender (WN2500RP) and there to a switch and others, but the switch was connected to another icon called WN2500RP. I simply clicked on that icon, which opened my web browser with an IP address, and it that led me to what the mywifiext.net would be!!
