Can't connect to Wi fi devices - Model WNDR3400
Having trouble connecting internet to my TV/Blu Ray player. Both are brand new (top of the range) products.
In Wi Fi connection section it says "cannot scan the wireless networks. Make sure your wireless adaptor is turned on and not disabled".
Turned on for both devices.
Blue wi fi light flashing on router.
Any advice/help appreciated.
Rob
Ended up upgrading my router to a Nighthawk 7000. Solved my problem albeit at quite a cost.
Thanks for all your help,
Rob

Welcome to the community, sandonpoint
Which WiFi connection that says "cannot scan the wireless networks. Make sure your wireless adaptor is turned on and not disabled"?
Is this a laptop? Smartphone?
Do you see the SSID that the router is broadcasting?
Do you have wireless security enabled?
What happens when you try connecting?

Many thanks for the prompt reply,
The message is displayed when I open Netgear Genie on my PC.
Trying to connect Smart TV and Blu Ray Player.
Don't see the SSID.
Not sure on "wireless security". How do I check?
When I try to connect I get message "network disconnected".

How is the computer with the NETGEAR Genie connected to the router?
Is it wired or wireless?
Can you post a screenshot of the exact window you see?
You can verify the wireless security by accessing the admin page of the router.
See the link below for the same instructions on how to verify the wireless security.
However, if the wireless security in asterisk or not visible then just set a new password.

What make is the BluRay player/TV?
Past discussions of these devices usually fall back to using the device to set it all up.
How far is your player from the WNDR3400? Can other things see the WNDR3400? If so, it is set up just fine and you need to look into the settings on the player/TV.
In general, TVs and such aren't that great at wifi. I use a pair of Powerline plugs to give me Internet access on the player. Not only is it easier to set up, it doesn't have the variability (iffiness) of wifi.

Brand new Panasonic 4K PVR.
Distance around 10m. Been through everything I can with the device on set up without success.
No other devices closer that utilise wi fi connection.
What are "powerline plugs". Are they a form of receiver for signal transmission?
