Fastlane Options ?????
When you enable FastLane Technology, you have two options:
Use the 2.4 GHz band to connect the extender to the Wi-Fi devices and use the 5 GHz band to connect the extender to the Wi-Fi router. Use this mode if your Wi-Fi router supports the 5 GHz band but the devices that you want to use for gaming and streaming support the 2.4 GHz band.
OR
Use the 5 GHz band to connect the extender to the Wi-Fi devices and use the 2.4 GHz band to connect the extender to the Wi-Fi router. Use this mode if the devices that you want to use for gaming and streaming support the 5 GHz band but your Wi-Fi router supports the 2.4 GHz band.
I already have Fastlane turned on. How do I access the options?
OK.....Thanks for your time !!!!

I'll bite. What, exactly, are you reading/quoting? What, exactly,
is "the extender"? What are you doing?- MUGWAMPBROAspirant
"When you enable FastLane Technology.............." is a quote from netgear's wersite.(https://kb.netgear.com/24662/What-is-FastLane-Technology-and-how-do-I-configure-it)
There are 2 options available when you enable/install FastLane.
I live in a cottage about 150yds. from my Netgear router and am trying to improve my wi-fi signal with an ALFA wifi extender (awus036ach). The ALFA extender works quite well but there is always room for improvement.
The 2.4 GHz signal has a much better "throw" (distance wise) than the 5 GHz signal.
I want to try both Options to see which one works best for my situation, but I can't find the options on Netgear Genie. HELP !!!
Thanx for the reply

Read the "This article applies to:" stuff on the right side of that
KB article.> [...] I can't find the options on Netgear Genie. [...]
Because you don't have any device (extender) which has those options?
I can find plenty of other Netdear KB articles which don't apply to
your gizmos, too. (Pick a number, (almost) any number.)
