N600 speed

Question

I have 500 mb on my Wi-Fi, so will my router and modem N600 handle the 5OO or do I need a bigger router and modem??

Well, if it says that, then no, it can't handle the speed you ask about. It's too old. Time to catch up to current technology 🙂

N600 is an ancient router and many generations behind, so no, it won't handle. You did not say what your modem is.(PS: N300 is a speed, not router model)

I have a modern and router built in one, it’s a N600 802.11 dual band gigabit, built in DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem….. so if this won’t hold speed of 500 mbps then want to you recommend that’s not to expensive, I want a dual band. Thanks

I'm not sure about which model you're talking. At first I thought your N600 is the WNDR3400 model. Now you say it also has a modem which makes it a Gateway. Again, N600 is a speed *not* modem or router model. Look underneath on the label which is says Model.

That said, if the modem is docsis 3.0, it can handle 500 Mbps. I do not know about the router part since, as I said, I don't know your device's model.
