[N900 / WNDR4500] - Can't use/access some services/web sites even after reset to factory settings

Hello,

I just moved to a new home; my old cable modem was damaged during the move and so I had to replace it (same manufacturer, newer model). The problem started then with the messeging service (LINE messenger) not working at all when on wifi -- direct connect worked fine for the PC and on the phone worked when using cellular data. So far it seemed only this app was affected as I could still doing other things fine (e.g. browse the web, checked email).

I tried updating the firmware and later resetted the router to factory settings, even deleted the app and reinstalled, but all these did was making the app worked part of the time only. However, I recently notice that I couldn't access some websites via wifi, too. Again, problem went away when not using the wifi.

Any idea on how to fix this is much appreciated.

Thanks,

b.

I heard the 4500 is @ EOL meaning End of Life. I don't know which version or if all versions are EOL. My point is return it so you don't get stuck with a device which is no longer be supported.

        Hi searay,

Thank you for your reply. I don't think I can return it as it's been with me quite a while now :-) Perhaps it's time for me to research for a new one *sigh*

      Hi storm1985,

Thank you for your reply and apologize for my late response (I was away and didn't have the chance to check back). I actually tried resetting the network on my phone when I reset the router. Sadly, it didn't work.
