Parental Controls
I log into router and select Parental Controls. It ask me to download Genie. I download it and run it. I get to the "Checking Router Firmware" page and I have waited up to an hour and a halh with the balls turning in a circle and the message "Identifying Your Router". I have tried using Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome. Same problem. The router firmware is 1.0.1.18_1.0.0, I just updated to this two weeks ago. The version of Genie is 2.4.52 which I downloaded last week. Please advise.

Hi Johnrodgers0712,
1. Please make sure you d a factory reset after the firmware update.
2. Have you tried using another device (Android, iOS, another computer)?

Community Team- Johnrodgers0712AspirantI have reset the router to factory settings and then set it back up to meet my needs. However before I set it back up I tried to install OpenDNS. I had the same problem I had before. I set the router up to what I wanted it to be and tried to install OpenDNS with the same results. I have also tried the same sequence from another PC. My problem seems to be Netgear Genie.
