R6200v2 Portfowarding for alternative FTP+SFTP

Hi,

I tried to create a second FTP + SFTP with other ports than the basic ones that will point to another computer than the basic ports (21 + 22) but I can't figure out why the connexion doesn't work outside the LAN.

FYI : I did try the 21 + 22 ports to point on the second computer and using a WAN connection. Everything worked with these ports. I'malso using a FTP client that allow to use different ports than the basic ones. So no problem on that side.

The PING haven't showed up the ports as opened even if I checked the option "Reply to ping from the Internet" or so

Could you help me figure that out?

Cheers.

    Hi charlesbelisle,

    Thank you for responding.

    1. I would like to confirm, it did work with the other computer, right?

    2. You can try unchecking the option "Use the same port range for the internal port" and set the same Internal Starting Port and have different external ports for the 2 computers.

Is ther an option on that router that needs to be checked to let other than regular ports work?

        Hi charlesbelisle,

        1. What is the firmware version of the router?

        2. Have you tried using other firmware versions?

        3. Have you tried setting DMZ for the computer you are trying to point to as an isolation step?

        4. Have you tried disabling the firewall/security software on that computer?

        Regards,
