WNDR 3400 v3 is it IPv4

Hi! I have a NetGear N600 Wireless Dual Band Router. I'm trying to connect wifi extender. I get all the way through, but when I click "finish" it says "IP is dif. Than root AP. Extenders support said to check if it's compatible with router, and that extender on supports IPv4. Stated to check lan DHCP server to see if it's IPv4. I have looked all in there but see nothing on IPv4 or 6. How do I find this, and/or any help with this setup process of extender would be greatly appreciated?

  • What extender you are connecting to it?

What firmware is on the router?

    firmware on the extender?

What method of setup are you using on the extender? some use wps, some use a installation assistant

Hi! I purchased one of Amazon. It's a EITTAR 300 Mbps Wifi Range Extender. Router Firmware is V1.0.046.1.0.45. Extender Firmware.…... Honestly, haven't a clue how to obtain this information. Setup method....it came with instructions and I just followed the prompts. One of reasons I was sold is because it was supposed to be a "1-Tap Setup". Ha! My parents taught me better, "If it's sounds too good to be true, it probably is". Yet, here I am. Grown and still hard headed.

      • Were you trying to use the "one push button" method on it? (WPS)

Or did you try connecting to the extender and using its installation assistant?

Reason I ask is the push button method works great with the same manufacturer's but when you mix them, you can run into issues. Its where a manual setup works better.
