WNDR3400v3 dual band - devices not connecting to 2.4ghz with passcode off

I have the router WNDR3400v3 and up until last night my 2.4ghz internet was working with one of my laptops connected to it, now nothing can connect to it. My router Firmware Version is V1.0.1.4_1.0.52 which is the latest, most up to date version. if i remove the WPA2-PSK [AES] passcode for the 2.4ghz my devices will have no problem connecting, the issue is once i set a passcode. Despite all of this, my 5Ghz wireless is working fine without issue. I am actually using it now to type this. Both the router and my modem are lit and showing lights, and my router is showing that there is connectivity. I have a first gen chromecast that only sees the 2.4 ghz wifi, as does my windows 7 laptop. My HTC M8 and my macbook see both the 2.4 & the 5G but can only connect to the 5g

please advise on what to do.

Did you try other security? Will it exhibit the same issue?

If yes, kindly rollback your firmware to version 1.0.1.2.

Once done, reset the router and reconfigure it to get back the connection.

      Let me know what happens.

Sorry for the delayed response, but I tried other security and yes, it exhibits the same issue. How do I rollback the firmware on the router.
