6700v2 WPS won't allow me to change network key
I have had the R6400v2 for several years now. No issues at all. Yesterday either a power surge or something happened where the router and internet were knocked offline for an hour. When I returned from work, I got everything fired back up. Started applying the settings that I had and this message popped up "WPS process is in progress, please apply the changes later." Thinking that it was still installing some firmware update, I let it set overnight. I woke up this morning, because the kids have to have their Bluey, we didn't have wireless internet. I started too set my settings and that code reappears. I have found what limited information is out there to get the WPS to turn off, it won't. I can't manually shut it off, basically, I am stuck with the default network key that won't allow me to enter it on any device. But the WiFi signal is showing strong. I have performed the factory reset, still nothing. The hardwired computers are working just fine. I can provide any further details as needed, but what the hell do I do to get this resolved?
Thanks!

What modem/gateway is the router connected to?
What firmware version is on it?

Did you reboot the network in the required order?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
- Turn off and unplug modem.
- Turn off router and computers.
- Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
- Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
- Turn on computers and rest of network.

Yes, this was the first thing done yesterday after the power outage/surge. I also did this when I got home last night as well as this morning.

How were you applying those settings?
Manually or from a backup that you had saved?
Where did that message pop up?
Did you try using WPS to set up something? It doesn't usually kick in uninvited.
Thinking that it was still installing some firmware update, I let it set overnight. You already have the latest firmware, so it should not need to update itself. There can be times when firmware is damaged but not beyond use. In those cases, you could try manually updating the firmware again, just to rule that out.
