I have a Nighthawk AC3200, Model 8000.

my Router is receiving signal from Spectrum at 315 mbs, but the output wifi signal ranges from 55 to 105 mbs.  how do I correct this so I am getting the full wifi speed?

  • Which wifi client/device you're using to test speeds?
What firmware version is on the router?
Which wifi band you talk about, 2.4 or 5 GHz?

      Thank you for responding

I have an Arris BS6183 Modem. seems to be performing ok (at rated 850mbs)

the firmware model 8000 is V1.0.4.84_10.1.84

I am using the 2.4 gh, the 5.0 is no longer available. I assume I lost it on some upgrade???

      thank you again

The R8000 uses smart connect that combines the 3x bands into one.

You can try disabling that and testing each band. Maybe you're speeds were related to being on the 2.4ghz

What modem/gateway is it connected to?

what firmware is on the router?

If you're using qos, access control, traffic monitoring, or parental controls disable them and reboot the router.

    then retest.

What device are you testing on?

Are you connecting to the 2.4ghz or the 5ghz band? (hint, 2.4ghz is a slow band and sensitive to interference)
