Modem Recommendation
Hello:
I am looking at the following modem CM2050V; however, do not see that it supports the dual frequency band. Specifically, looking for 2.4GHz frequency band to use with smart bulbs. Is there a similar modem available that also provides the dual frequency bands? Please advise.
Best Regards,
Ross

Unfortunately, if I'm not mistaken, there's no NETGEAR gateway that offers DOCSIS 3.1 and a 2.4 GHz band. All seem to be 5 GHz only with 2.5 Gbps WAN ports
What you can do is get a modem-only device and hook up a router to it that provides 2.4/5 GHz bands

The CAX80 has 2.5Gb WAN port and is dual wifi band supporting, 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz and is DOCSIS 3.1
The C7800 is same accept for the 1Gb WAN port.

The CM2050V is a modem only device. It doesn't have wifi or any routing capability.
If you purchase that modem, you'd need to add your own router to it.

From reading the OPs question, he's looking for Xfinity-certified devices. Are you guys sure that CAX80 & co support Xfinity?
- plemansGuru - Experienced UserYes. The cax is supported on Xfinity
