Newest firmware for Nighthawk r7900p V1.4.1.66_1.3.26?
I update the firmware for the R7900P Netgear router to version R7900P-V1.4.1.64_1.3.25 which was the latest on Netgear's website. After updating the firmware and restarting, the router said new firmware was available. I had the routher update again and ended up with version V1.4.1.66_1.3.26. I don't see that available on Netgear's website at all.
Am I OK to have allowed that update?
Thank you!

I actually just noticed the same thing. Was troubleshooting one problem and noticed that the router said it had a firmware update, which I installed and I ended up with V1.4.1.66_1.3.26. After that I started having issues with remote management, it won't let me turn it on (this is the router at my parent's house), so I was going to reflash the firmware, but I can't find that version available anywhere for download.
- cenaqAspirantEverything works here so far. Just was wondering why the version isn't listed

I too am having issues with remote management via the Nighthawk app. I just purchased my second NetGear extender that's supposed to cover 2200sq ft and noticed the update. I now wish I didn't apply it... I'm almost at the point where I'm going to factory reset everything and start over with all of my equipment.
I'd suggest holding until they sort this out.
- Same issue - nighthawk app (2.7.2.19) on iPhone 12 doesn’t allow connection to router running V1.4.1.66_1.3.26. Worked fine before upgrade. Can login fine via http...
After latest Firmware release the Nighthawk IOS app will not log onto my R7900P Router.
As of 1/7/21 not resolved. I have updated the Nighthawk IOS app to ver 2.7.6.3

I had similar problems with this latest firmware update, including being unable to use my Nighthawk App. The solution that worked for me was 1) to do a factory reset on the router, 2) change the DNS Addresses as follows: Primary 8.8.8.8 (Google), and Secondary 4.2.2.2, and finally 3) uninstall and re-install my Nighthawk App on my iPhone. Note that my router had been set to get my DNS Address automatically from my ISP. Together, these simple steps solved all of my router problems relating to this latest firmware update. Hope this helps you, too.
- Glad you got it working. I’m trying to avoid reconfiguring the router from scratch.
The 68 version was just released and still has same issue.
I also reported the app issue to netgearteam at netgear.com as requested in their app info for any problems. No response yet.
If I get desperate I’ll try your solution.
