Nighthawk CM2000 can't login

II couldnt pick CM2000 above...anyway...

have a Nighthawk CM2000 modem.

I like to look at the modem stats now and then to see if there any errors.

I can no longer get access to the modem.

I see the login page. I enter my password, and it looks back to my password again.

I rebooted the modem and iMac. Still nothing.

Also note I changed the password when I got the modem from the default.

I forget the default.

Suggestions?

Craig

Perhaps you and the modem disagree about what the correct password
    is.

Perhaps it got changed again somehow.

It's just possible that someone documented it someplace.  You might
find some relevant information in a widely neglected resource:

          https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RTFM

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation.  Get the User Manual (at least).  Read.

For some reason it defaulted back to the factory password after a few months of using my OWN password.

      What would cause that?

A settings reset?  Your ISP could do that remotely.  Or, some
settings storage got corrupted somehow (power spike?), the gizmo noticed
that, and figured that "default" was better than "corrupt".  Or someone
stuck a pointed stick up its butt.  Many things are possible.

If it recurs with some frequency, and the ISP denies everything, then
I'd worry about the hardware.  Or, given Netgear, some firmware bug.
