Nighthawk R7000 + Nest Cam

I'm attempting to get my Nest cam to work with the IFTTT app and/or LIFX lights.  Nest has direct integration with both products.  However its not working properly.  Nest provided me the following to attempt to corect:

  • Check your router to see if ports 9543, 11095, 80, 1935, and 443 are blocked. If they are, unblock them. If any of these ports are closed, you will not be able to use all the features of your Nest products.

I've setup an address reservation and configured port forwarding for each of these ports as shown below.

Wehn I use http://www.canyouseeme.org I show all these ports as blocked still.  I haven't used canyouseeme previously so not totally sure what to expect.

Since this wasnt working I have also enabled DMZ Server and mapped it to the 192.168.1.16 IP which is the same as the port forwarding rules.

At this point I'm not sure if the ports are truely open and forwarding or not.  Any suggestions of other things to try?  Your feedback is much appreaciated.

  • Hi dep0we,

Connect the device directly to your modem and check the ports. If close, contact ISP to unblock the ports as they might be the one blocking the ports.
