Nighthawk R7000 continuously dropping internet connection after firmware update
I updated the firmware yesterday to V1.0.7.2_1.1.93. Since then, the internet connection drops every 10mins to an hour. It reconnects within a minute. The router itself is still up and running, serving both wired and wifi connections.
Has anyone seen this? Are there any settings I should tweak? Are there know firmware issues?
Thanks.
It turns out I was totally misdirected by a couple of coincidences.
I had changed my firmware, so had considered that as the culprit. At the same time, we're having building work done. We checked that (cut out nearly all of the existing cabling), yet we were still having problems.
What we eventually turned up was an incorrectly wired Master Socket. The VDSL extension was taken pre-filtered, rather than from the filtered connectors. That had worked perfectly happily for the last 2 years. But it's likely the building work jogged something that just upset the balance.
Thanks for all your help on this. But now I feel we've got everything working well enough again to brave the firmware upgrade again :)

did you reset it to defaults after the update? I did and mine worked fine.

Thanks for the suggestion. I reset everything last night. Checked the logs this morning and the Internet is still constantly dropping and reconnecting.

you're welcome,
can you post a screen shot of log ..... you might try reverting to previously working version...I used this version and every other version at one time or another and although some had problems dropping WAN wasn't one.
