Nighthawk x6 r8000 seems to be throttled

Just updated my ISP to 1Gbs, however I am not even getting half of that. Just called the ISP, and they are seeing over 1Gbps from the modem. I hardlined into the modem and saw the same thing, so something must be off with the router. Modem is wired to the router with a CAT5e, router is connected to my computer with a CAT6. When I do a speed test via speedtest.net, I am getting 460 Mbps down. When I do a speed test in the Netgear GUI (under Dynamic QoS) I see 240ish down. I do not have Dynamic QoS enabled, or any other options turned on like Parental Control, ReadyShare, Traffic Metering, etc. Firmware Version: V1.0.4.84_10.1.84

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.

Try using Ooklas installable speed test app on the PC.

Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update?

Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?

Oddly enough, the modem doesnt seem to have a manufacturer on it (its from Charter/Spectrum) Model number ET2251. They sent the modem when I upgraded (~2 weeks ago), I am using their supplied CAT5e cable to connect the router to the modem, but I can go get a 6.

I have rebooted everything (pc, router, and modem) several times since the new modem came in and since the call with the ISP.

I have not done a factory reset of the router, I guess I can try that after I log off of work for the day

        Ok.

        Thats a Hitron model modem.

Something to try, connect directly to the back of the ISP modem with a wired PC and run a speed test with out the router in the mix.

Try a reset on the router when you can.
