R6220 Router gigabit ethernet supported ?
I have been using the Netgear R6220 router.
Recently i upgraded my internet speed from 75mbps to 125mbps.
But the max speed never crosses 80~90 mbps.
The service provider said the router does not have the gigabit ethernet port so the speeds are limited by the router.
Can someone confirm if this is true ?
I'd take it up with your ISP. Tell them its a gigabit router but only connecting to 10/100mbps.
Its not something that you can change as its auto-negotiates.
If you can't change out the cable, then they can test it.
If you could directly connect your pc to have it work, then you could test it.

the router is gigabit.
What modem is it connected to?
What speeds do you get from the modem?
Have you tried replacing the cables from modem--router and router----device?
Make sure you test hardwired.
Hi thank you for the confirmation regarding gigabit support.
There is no modem connection, an ethernet cable is provided by the ISP directly.
PPPoE connection. The ISP says others are able to get 125mbps speeds so it must be the router issue.

what speeds do you get directly connected to the fibre connection?
Have you tried a simple factory reset on the router?
Are you testing wired?
