R6700 Android VPN
I'm wondering why the KB article says it encompasses the R6700 but I still can't use my android with VPN and this router? I've tweeted you with no response either. Please help.

Hi Santerianumero1,
Can you check on the OpenVPN tab. There should be an option for Mobile OpenVPN using the latest firmware.

Hi Santerianumero1,
Check this KB article:
https://kb.netgear.com/29783/How-do-I-use-VPN-service-on-my-Nighthawk-router-with-my-Android-device
- You obviously didn't click on the tweet I sent Netgear. I already saw that article. It says it applies to the 6700 but it doesn't. That's my beef. I'm already on the latest firmware.

Hi Santerianumero1,
Thank you for the feedback. We have updated the article and R6700 is not included on the list.
- I appreciate your response. It's so far the best responsiveness I've had from Netgear. I know obviously you cannot divulge dates or whether it's happening or not but, can you tell me if it's happening or not lol? Is the r6700 going to get android VPN functionality like the r7000 just got?

JamesGL if R6700 already support iOS or Android VPN client software can I request the following:
1. Update on the release notes of the firmware version that supports it. I cant see this on latest fw 1.0.1.16
2. R6700 manual update on page 169 which states it does not support mobile VPN.
These are only my suggestions. :)
Thanks.

Hi storm1985,
Checking with the team on your suggestions. Thank you for that. :)
Hi Santerianumero1,
You are welcome. :)
- JamesGL So far so good. I downloaded OpenVPN on my android and it's working great. Connecting to my own network remotely. Thank you!
