R6700v3 reset loop and cant log into wifi

Tried resetting the router via the manual instructions and forums (30/30/30 though I did that one last for "safty")

After trying, I noticed that the WiFi never changed and was still protected. I tried entering my password, any possible default password that I can find on the internet via cell phone and tried logging into the wifi from multiple phones that had the wifi saved. No luck... been at this for hours and have read most if not all the forums about this issue.

Gotta admit, I ain't as bright as I used to be. with my old ASUS router I never had a problem. Any help is appreciated. Do I have to try and reset it's firmware and dump the ram/cache?
  • Have you tried hardwiring into the router?

Then you can access it and set it up with your own ssid/password

  • Update: obviously the reset button for 7 seconds ain't working. The 30/30/30 puts the router in recovery loop and I have to hit the reset with power on just to fix that.

Still no luck on logging into wifi to even try connecting to the IP.

That is much better than fiddling around with phones.

Reading the the manual might also help.

      Visit the support pages:

      Support | NETGEAR

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.

Begin with the Quick Start/Installation Guide.

You may have done that already. I can't tell from the first message.

I mention it because Netgear gave up on supplying paper manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.
