R7000 Issues after factory reset - IPv6 - Speedtest/QoS - Remote management port - DynDns
Hi,
I have the Netgear R7000 Router WiFi Nighthawk, Dual Band AC1900. I've upgraded the firmware to version V1.0.11.128_10.2.112 and then I have reseted my router using the button in the admin page becouse in the device list I didn't see all the connected device.
Now I have all of this issues :smileysad:
IPv6
My internet provider give me a static IPv6. I've set all the fields with the previous data (I've made a screenshot before the reset with all working settings!) but now I can't pass the test-ipv6.com. Also with this setting the Nighthawk on my Android device can't connect to my router. I have to disabled the IPv6 to see the connection to my router from the android app.
Speedtest/QoS
I have a 100 Mbps symmetric connection on fiber point-to-point.
With the speedtest in the router QoS page now I can't get the right bandwith: the upload bandwith is always wrong to 50% of the real bandwith.
Even the speedtest from the Android app is very wrong.
Also the EX6250v2 AC1750 WiFi Mesh Extender connected to this router give from app a different bandwith.
Remote management port
I can no longer set the port for accessing the router remotely. I no longer find any section that allows me to do so.
DynDns
Before the factory reset I've used Netgear as a dynamic DNS provider but now it doesn't work anymore: is always unavailable.
I've get the same error if I use www.dynDNS.org.
Has anyone experienced the same problems? There is a solution?

- Pacey_IVAspirantWith the firmware update of January 6, the dns service is back to work. All the other problems remain :(

It's back to work after I enabled the option "respont to ping on internet port". My internet provider does some monitoring operation and doesn't give me ipv6 packet if it doesn't see me reachable. Mybe something change with the last firmware becouse I dind't needed this option before firmware upgrade.

Same situation after reset.
The list of connected devices is also unreliable.
Same ip with different mac address (192.168.1.8)!
192.1681.17 (the extender) not in the router list, yet I connected to it from a computer connected by cable to the router. Other devices that are present in the connected devices from the extender and not in the router's list.
If the router can't show the correct list of devices connected to it and can't even measure the correct bandwidth, what does it do with the QoS rules?

In an attempt to minimize the potential access vectors (and to answer security related questions like intrusion prevention, offer https for all routers, provide certificate based auth on https only, ...) I believe Netgear is in a process of removing the port based remote access as part of their regular firmware maintenance, retaining the local and the App based cloud access only. This changes the name of the menu item there from Remote Management to Web Based Management, too.
- Pacey_IVAspirantYa. This is not a big problem. I have configured the VPN and I can access to the router config page.

For the problem of the speed in QoS I've downgraded the firmware to V1.0.11.116_10.2.100
This is the last version without this bug!
