R7800
Hi
Since updating my firmware to V1.0.2.78 for my Nighthawk(R) X4S R7800
My internet connection have slowed down , stop working and on and off
Called spectrum internet , hard reset both modem and router ,replace the ethernet line
Factory reset the router again , got spectrum to replace my modem with a new one and still the problem there.
Im out of troubleshooting idea. Last thing i havent done is get a new router but this one cost me $250 2 years ago.
Is there anyway to get the old firmware back only thing i havent tried yet
Most stable R7800 is the .68 firmware. Get it from here https://www.netgear.com/support/product/R7800.aspx (click on the + sign lower left)

V1.0.2.78 has been fine here.
After they replaced the modem, did you go through the recommended reboot process?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
- Turn off and unplug modem.
- Turn off router and computers.
- Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
- Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it connect.
- Turn on computers and rest of network.

OK. Straightforward modem with nothing routery to complicate matters. Unless the ISP has specified a particular customised version.
- james96868AspirantMy internet would not connect. I tried almost everything. Called Spectrum, restarted both the modem and R7800. Checked all the IP's, mac's and anything that would stop it from connecting. Connected right to my modem and got connectivity. So I down loaded a later version of the firmware and now everything is working again.
