Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update? Be sure to restart your network in this sequence: Turn off and unplug modem. Turn off router and computers. Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect. Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect. Turn on computers and rest of network.

Does it work fine if you move it back to the old location?
- Elmer157TutorStill the same 401 code. I did not place the modem and router back to original location. Location is different part of the house. I know the modem is working,as all the lights are up and running. The R7800 are flashing white as in the past. 2.4 and 5 g both flashing.

How is the R7800 connected to the cable modem?
What gives you the offline error message? A mobile app?
What do you see in a web browser and the graphical user interface (GUI)?
- Elmer157TutorThe modem is connected to the router via the Ethernet cable.

It is more like something from an operating system or software. Maybe even a browser? According to Google, those words seem to afflict just about everything in IT land.
Which browser did you use? Do you have an alternative that you can try?
You say that you have just moved things around physically, but sometimes something goes amiss and you have to reset the while network, including the router.
