R8000, MB8611 and Xfinity
I have an older AC3200 (circa 2017) but its been working great. Recently, I upgraded modems to a Mot MB8611 to take advantage of the 1-gig speeds. Was having problems and finally resolved the modem issue (after a 3rd-Xfinity tech came out).
Now, speed-tests are showing the AC3200 is throttling-back the speed. My desktop is wired to the router, thus, should be getting higher speeds.
From the modem, 960-mbps.
From the router, nothing above 600-mbps.
Router firmware - V1.0.4.76_10.1.82
Many options are turned-off. I checked some of the other threads but not sure which one(s) to reference for the best performance tuning.
What other items should I be checking to increase the speed?

Try a reset on the router and setup from scratch. Power OFF the ISP modem for 1 minute then back ON. Complete the setup wizard on the router and go to check speeds. Don't enable anything else.
Be sure your using good quality LAN cable between the modem, router and your PC. CAT6 is recommended.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, no change. Just time spent. The speedtest did not change. The router is still under 600 while the line out of the modem is upwards of 930.
What would be the next suggestion?

You did reset the router, the R8000 I assume, after you changes the modem? You don't say.
This is important to erase any settings that the router may have inherited from the old modem.

Yes, I did do a reset. The lights flickered, I had to re-setup my id/password, network names changed. However, not all settings were erased. Many entries still existed.
So far, no change. Low-speeds (400-500) out of the router while the modem is now delivering the high-speed (930-960).

If you pressed the reset button for 10 seconds then release or use the ERASE funciton on the routers web page under Admin/Backup? ERASE should and will erase all prior configurations.
Something to try if you can to see if your router is working right on the WAN to LAN speed side of things:

Seems like HW nat accelleration isn't working on your router maybe...
