R8000P WIFI disconnects even with latest firmware

R8000P WIFI disconnects even with latest firmware V1.4.3.88_1.3.50.  I have to reboot the router.

This was happening once a week and now it is happening every day.  I see old posts on this subject but I have the latest firmware installed

.

Do I need to go back a version and where can I get a previous firmware version?

Not much to go on there.

Does the wifi go off? SSIDs disappear? What do the LEDs look like?

It might also help if you told people what the modem is in front of this router, if there is one. The model number could be useful. Is it, by any chance, also a router, with a set of LAN ports on the back?

The reason for asking is that a lot of people turn up here trying to put a router behind a modem that is also a router. That can complicate troubleshooting.

The router Internet lite is blinking.  The three 2.4 and the 5 Ghz (2 ea) are on. The WIFI light in on.  There is no change in lights when it is working and when is disconnects devices.

The ethernet ports also stop working for internet access.

The SID on device goes away and you can see the other 2.4 GHz SID but it will not allow you to log in and connect on other.

I have a ARRIS surfboard SB8200 cable modem on the front and the Lights stay normal and internet works as well as I also check a separate equipment phone cable modem.

I have been using this set up for almost 2 years.

What channels are you using? Auto? Try Auto and 48 on 5Ghz. Or try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update? A complete pull of the power adapters for a period of time after the factory reset then walk thru the setup wizard and setup from scratch.
I would power OFF the ISP modem for 1 minute. Factory reset the router and power it off. Power ON the ISP modem and let it sync.

What CAT# lan cable is being used between the modem and router? CAT6 is recommended.

Does the top of the router feel extra warm or hot?
