Replace Nitehawk AC1900 R7000

The X6S seems to have better specs than the X6 but is $30 less!!??? I'm happy with AC1900, but would I like AC5400 better?? I'm not a gamer, but I could use one or two more ethernet 'outs' ...Thanx for your 'enlightening' responses ...

Are you comparing the R8000P to the R8000?

Or what exact devices are you comparing?  (hint, AC**** are speeds, not models)

And are you just wondering about the differences?

I need to replace my 7yr old AC1900 R7000, it has a bad 'glitch' ....I was wondering why the price difference between those two particular models?? And, don't get me started, ...why are they called 'gaming routers' !?? Would I be happy with an AC3200 ?? Or go all out and get AC5400!?? I'm not a gamer... would I notice a tri-band?? I would buy something in the $300-400 range....twice what my R7000 cost back then...Hope this helped ...Thanx again ... B C

If it was me, I'd look at the R7800. Its around that price

If you want to see actual tested performance. I'd recommend reading a few testing sites. Smallnetbuider does a great job and ranks them and goes over them. Its a great resource.
