Unable to do a fresh set-up wizard install on my Nighthawk AC1750

Ok, I just built a brand new computer, mainly to be used for gaming.  My Ether cable runs from the DSL Modem to the Nighthawk Wireless unit, then I ran an Ether Cable directly to my new PC and pllugged it into the MOBO.  Now I don't know if it makes a difference or not, I did not buy any type of wireless device to install on my MOBO.  I did an install of the Genie App and then the Set-Up Wizard ran but, it left out over half of my selectable settings, when I log into "routerlogin.net".  Now, I can't make any changes or do anything so my system is severely crippled.  I have uninstalled the Genie App and gone back through my computer and erased all traces of the software and attempted to get the router to re-boot and come up correctly.  Well guess what, it came up but I am connected to the internet, somehow, as I using this computer to write this.

Help please.

If they're greyed out that's a sign you're not in router mode? So the question is what mode is it in? Did you tinker yourself into an unknown mode?

You can factory reset the router and the genie app is not required to setup the router

Thanks for your reply but, the Gemie app, is not my problem.  Maybe I wasn't clear enough so let me attempt to clarify it.  When I log into the "routerlogin/net" so i can set up QOS, tinker with my security settings, and things of that nature I couldn't as nearly half of those features had been grayed out.  So after trying to get the set-up wizard to run again and help me re-install the software, I gave up and un-installed the software.  I am running bare and have no apparent control over my WIFI device now.

      Does that help any?

      Thanks
