UPNP broken in Netgear R7800 on firmware 1.0.2.68
Hello Netgear community, hope you're all doing well.
I'm writing this post just acknowledge that, as per my prior experience with the firmware (V1.0.2.68), the Upnp isn't functioning, and I would always see the yellow light in Bitcomet.
My internet connection is PPPOE with username & password.
It works now, after reverting back to the older version which is V1.0.2.62. Please can others confirm on this issue. It would be helpful if the developers could fix the issue which persists.
Thank you
I was mistaken. In firmware V1.0.2.78 UPNP works :-)

Often it feels better if others have it as bad or worse than yourself.
The latest version 1.0.4.46 for R8000 also have UNPN broken, not a word from Netgear even if a huge number of users have reported this for the last 5 months. They have not even acknowledge that it doesn’t work.- schumakuGuru - Experienced User

They have not even acknowledge that it doesn’t work.If they acknowledge the firmware is broken then folks would expect them to fix it. This way they can sit back and ignore since they do not acknowledge an issue. There are firmware issues that are over a year old that plagued my r8000 when I had it and the issues are still present. I would not hold my breath as it seems that there is no testing of firmware for bug fixes before posting. On top of that, lots of lucky folks cannot use features they bought the router for, because in Negear's infinite wisdom they added Armor and had to remove features to make room for Armor. Not the company I remember. My Netgear modem works fine, but I moved on for a router.

You are luck, I'm running firmware V1.0.2.62 and uPNP is not working!!!
I tried V1.0.2.68 and same issue! How can Netgear miss the ball on such a good wifi router?
My uPNP stay always clear, can't connect to games online, can't have my NAS to expose services to outside.

UPNP is often a risk. Better setup your program to use a specific port and do a port forwarding on the router using that port and IP reserved DHCP address on the computer you run the program

Check whether your upnp service is enabled on the services.msc if you're running windows. I can confirm the upnp is working on 1.0.2.62 but not on the 1.0.2.68- fmirandaAspirantUpnp is working on 1.0.2.62! But not working on 1.0.2.68!
Netgear, get your **bleep** together and release a new firmware update that fixes the upnp and provided the latest security updates.

Any update on this? I'm still using the 1.0.2.62 for months now, and seems to be rock stable but would like to have a new firmware for security fixes if persists or other enhancements or improvements & new features.
Netgear isn't planning to release another firmware with a working upnp?

Hello Netgear developers, can you please address this issues with the 1.0.2.68 firmware breaking the upnp support of the router?
Why we don't have a single Netgear community moderator checking this post? it's been months and no answer???????
Come'n Netgear, fix the issue!!!!

1.0.2.68 does not work for me. 1.0.2.62 works. I have not tested 1.0.2.78. Have you?
