What is the best R7000 firmware that support dd-wrt?

so i bought this router and have heard it supports the likes of dd-wrt, what is the best firmware for this router and how do i go about installing it?

    As far as NETGEAR is concerned, we do not recommend the use of 3rd party firmware since it will void its warranty.

    We always recommend that you update to the latest firmware version.

    That's a loaded question, since you have to ask I would suggest you use NG FW. While many swear by 3rd party it's a risk that may come back to bite you in the _$$.

      Since 1.0.7.2 is now available with just the briefest release note (fixes NTP issue), what is new/fixed/changed?  Does it support Arlo (needed for my installation)?  What else?

        While we cannot recommend you using a third party firmware for your R7000 Nighthawk Router.. If you do, only use DD-WRT Kong Mod found here Netgear R7000 Firmware remember to download the .chk file specific to R7000 model, and make sure to follow this manual for success on the update Firmware Installation Instructions
